Swift in top three
ANSTON’S Ben Swift sprinted to a top three finish at the Veuelta a Burgos last Friday in Spain.
The Team Sky cyclist was pipped on the cobbled finishing straight at Lerma by winner Mattie Breschel of Denmark and Frenchman Nacer Bouhanni.
Swift and his team-mates arrived at the front of the race inside the final 20km, dragging back a break that had been clear for most of the day.

Hide AdSky sized control with less than 5km to go and Swift fought it out at the finish, ending the stage in third position.
His next race will be the Vuelta a Espana, starting in Pamplona on Saturday 18th August.
Swift, the team’s designated sprinter, will be joined by Olympic bronze medallist Chris Froome.
