There was no shortage of willing volunteers when police officers visited Horncastle Primary School as part of the Lincolnshire Force's '˜mini police' scheme.

Town-based PCSO Nigel Wass and PC Mel Standbrook talked to pupils about the scheme which is aimed at Year 5 classes.

Pupils are encouraged to engage with their local community through police supervised tasks and those lucky enough to be elected even get special uniforms.
