Green workout in Kiveton Wood
The Forestry Commission has launched a woodland workout project in Kiveton Community Wood to help people stay in trim and improve wildlife habitats. Now a recruitment drive is underway to get adults to go green and sign up.
Hannah Darcel, Forestry Commission ranger, said: “There are loads of tasks that need doing, from removing ragwort, pruning, thinning birch and creating paths. It’s a great way to stay active and meet new friends and has a really positive impact on your sense of wellbeing.”
