Kenwick Park GC host memorial for late president Jim Cutts
Jim Cutts was a quiet dignified man, totally trustworthy, with a lovely sense of humour, and as a well-respected chartered accountant, his business acumen and knowledge of all things fiscal were important during Kenwick Park’s formative years.
In 1971, Jim’s great friend Eric Sharp opened the driving range on the QE2 as it sailed to New York, carrying passengers on the way to the Ryder Cup.

Hide AdWhen the ship was decommissioned in 2008, the Swilken Golf Company purchased one of the propellers, and used it to manufacture a limited number of putters.
Eric was presented with one of the putters and presented it to Kenwick Park as a trophy in honour of, and tribute to Jim.
Lessons from head professional Paul Spence, and plenty of practice paid off for Nik Fox (7) who won the putter in the inaugural competition.
He produced an excellent score of 41 points, four clear of Dan Blythe (17) who took the runners-up spot on a countback from Jonathan Graves (5).
