The much-needed funds have enabled the charity to buy four additional radios for use by volunteers who provide invaluable support to the emergency services during floods, lost-person searches and medical response requirements.
The radios have enabled the team to have more responders out on the ground at any one time and improve the communications back to their control centre to coordinate support activities.

The grant acquired will fund 4 new secure radios to enable our responders to receive higher quality communications and enhance the productivity of their voluntary services.”
