Langold: Mums get beaten 7-1 in charity match against their sons to raise money for Jake
Jake’s family needed to raise £2,000 for a corrective helmet which Jake, who is eight months old, will need to wear for 23 hours a day for around six months to help the bones harden in his skull and fuse together permanently.
To help raise funds a charity match was organised between the Langold Juniors Under 9’s, who Jake’s older brothers Joshua and Jake play for, and their mums.

“We couldn’t have done it without the help of the local people who have really pulled together to help us.”
“We are planning to organise some fundraising in 2014 that will be linked to the Langold area to give something back to the community.”
