Vehicles seized as police respond to hare coursing report
A number of covid fixed penalties were issued, and a dispersal order made against a group of men.
Police were called out at 8am after reports workers at Low Grounds, Swineshead, being threatened by a large group.

Hide AdA spokesperson for Lincolnshire Police said: “Our control room received a 999 call at just before 8 am on Tuesday (19 January) concerning workers at Low Grounds, Swineshead, who were reportedly being threatened by ten or more men.
“Due to concerns for these workers, and indications this was connected with hare coursing, six of our vehicles were deployed.
“Upon arrival five 4x4 vehicles fled the scene.”
Officers were assisted by the force dog unit, Cambridgeshire’s Rural Crime Action Team, and The National Police Air Service.
Police issued a dispersal order just over 30 minutes after the initial report was received which covered Lincolnshire for the rest of the day.

Hide Ad“This monumental and swift team effort resulted in three vehicles seized, several covid tickets issued and £6k recovered from one vehicle,” the spokesperson said.
“We would like to thank everyone for the part they played in keeping Lincolnshire safe.”
