Louth man faces trial for alleged assaults and ‘coercive and controlling’ behaviour
A Louth man has been sent for trial after denying three charges of assault causing actual bodily harm, and of coercive and controlling behaviour.
James Gilliatt, 31, of Monks Dyke Road, denied the assaults against a woman on March 9, April 5 and 24, and of controlling and coercive behaviour towards the same woman between September 2019 and May 2020.
The Crown Prosecution Service asked that the cases be sent for trial at Lincoln Crown Court because of the seriousness of the offences alleged.
The magistrates sent it for a first appearance on October 26, and Gilliatt was granted unconditional bail.
