TEN YEARS AGO: Kirton pupils join 5,000-plus school choir
Young performers from Kirton ventured to Sheffield to join a 5,000-plus choir for a mass children’s concert 10 years ago.
Kirton Primary School choir took part in Young Voices at the Yorkshire venue, where they joined a host of other schools from across the region.
The children performed World in Union, extracts from musicals, and a pop medley which included Lady Gaga’s Bad Romance.
The mass choir was supported by a team of musicians.
School music leader Colette Vinter hailed the event as a ‘great day’.
She said: “It was fantastic – a lifetime experience.”
